Description
The Smiths Medical Thermovent T Heat and Moisture Exchanger (HME) is used in mechanically ventilated and laryngectomy patients to heat and moisturise the air and help prevent complications that occur when patients lose the ability to breathe through their nose and upper airway. The Thermovent T is a Heat & Moisture Exchanger (HME) that captures and returns heat and moisture to the patient during inspiration. It is appropriate for patients who are spontaneously breathing and have a tracheostomy tube.
